The Earth's Just a Big Big Person
Think Biology. When it is cold out, and we don't have a jacket to our names, we freeze, no? Half correct.
Our skin becomes cold to the touch, but our organs and blood vessels are working double time to keep everything inside warm and toasty. Which is where they came up with the concept of a 'cold treatment' for fat.
Now think about the sea, or the pool. When it is raining or cold out, none of us dare touch the water. We think we'll become human popsicles. However, experience has taught me differently. On the coldest days of January, the water is blissfully warm and perfect for a swim.
Rather coincidental, no?
On medium, warm, hot, blistering days, the water is cool, occasionally shiveringly cold. The surface that is directly baked by the sun, is trickily warm to the touch, but just a foot deeper, it's frozen water without the icy hardness. Same concept with our bodies. Our skin is hot to the touch, while our systems attempt to keep our organs at a cool temperature.
So humans and the water/earth are the same!!!
I was lying in bed, huggling, and thinking of swimming, when these random thoughts entered my mind. And being the sentimental girly I am, my next thought was:
"Awwww! The world's just a big cudly person!!!"
